Welcome to The Quiet Rich, your weekly guide to a quiet mind and rich life. Today, I’m giving you the 7 life skills I wish everyone learned in school.

The one skill I wish I learned sooner? Having a strong personal brand.

Your brand on LinkedIn has never been more important than it is right now.

In an AI world where things are more and more uncertain, the people with strong brands will get the best opportunities.

I’d love to give you the exact system that grew my LinkedIn from 1k to 480k followers in 3 years. I’ve taught this to 1,200 of the fastest-growing accounts on LinkedIn.

Our next cohort starts July 27th, but today is the LAST DAY to get the discounted price. At 10pm tonight, the price increases by $500.

CONTEXT

School prepares us for tests, but it doesn’t necessarily teach us the skills we need to navigate adult life. That’s where mentors come in.

I’m taking my mom on holiday for the next two weeks, and I’ve been reflecting on the fact that she really was my first and best mentor.

Long before life coaches or exec advisors, she was there teaching me the “adulting” skills that no curriculum covered.

Here are 7 essential skills I wish were taught in every classroom. Thank you so much, Mom, for teaching me these at our kitchen table. I’ll be passing these on to my future kids one day. ❤️

THE 7 SKILLS

1. Personal finance:

  • How to establish good credit early

  • How to set up an investment portfolio

  • How to do taxes

CLOSING THOUGHTS

There are so many more skills that might come to mind: how to lift weights, get better sleep, write AI prompts, enjoy nutrient-dense meals, file taxes. 😅

But the 7 listed above are pretty timeless and universal.

School taught me facts, but my mom taught me skills. The things I learned at home prepared me for the tests in life that matter most.

Much love,

Jade
